Suggest Methods To Prevent Genital Herpes

hi i need to know is my boyfriend safe from getting my genital herpes? I've had it for 4 years but i only had 2 outbreaks and used valtrex oly with outbreaks my doctor said i didnt need daily medication and that we're good if we use protection and we can have healthy babies please help

Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease caused by herpes simplex virus (HSV). HSV causes genital herpes by entering the skin or mucous membranes through microscopic breaks in the skin and mucous membranes.
There is no cure as such for genital herpes. Antiviral medications are used to reduce the severity and frequency of genital herpes.
The best protection which can be used to prevent its transmission is by use of condoms.
Pregnant women with genital herpes should be careful, but not be very worried about passing the virus on to the baby. Infection can happen to the baby during delivery.
