OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,

The pill you were prescribed will help regulate your cycles and give you a monthly period. This will also help protect your uterus against uterine cancer for which you have an increased risk in PCOS.

Pills are also the only known medication to decrease the risk of ovarian cancer. Once you are ready to conceive, your doctor will take you off the pill and discuss ovulation induction with you.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Amy Gueye, OBGYN
