Suggest Medicine To Avoid Pregnancy

Hi doctor, yesterday night i had sexual act with my husband/ I am 28 years old ?he used condom as usually but we didn`t notice it slipped after some time ? after that i washed there nicely with soap still i am afraid of unwanted pregnancy Should I take i pill or please suggest another good option less hormonal

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are suffering from unwanted pregnancy and you want abortion for that, well i don't recommend abortions. If you are not prepared you should take proper preventive methods to avoid it. It can affect fertility in 15-25 % of cases as well. I would suggest you to do it under supervision of medical practitioner after getting transvaginal ultrasonography. You should take Unwanted kit which is used for the medical method of abortion. this contains the tablets mifepristone and misoprostol which is an effective method of abortion for pregnancies less than 7 weeks gestation. The main complication associated with abortions is severe bleeding, pain abdomen and retained products which might require surgical evacuation.
