Suggest Medicine For Hyperthyroidism
Hi Dr. Andrew. I have recently been told I have Hyperthyroidism. I have been put on 1 5m neo-mercazole Twice a day. Over the past 12 months I have lost a lot of weight (intentionally) and am concerned about gaining weight on these and also the immune system problems. Please advise your thoughts on these issues. Thank you

Hyperthyroidism can increase your metabolism and cause weight loss.
Do a thyroid function test and make sure that your thyroid status is well maintained.
You can include more and more protein-rich foods to your diet to gain adequate weight.
