Hello,

I can understand your concern. Zoloft is a Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI). It gives good results in patients with anxiety and depression.

However, your daughter may have to take this medicine at least for 4 weeks before the symptoms improve. So it does require some patience. If you or your daughter thinks that effects cannot wait for 4 weeks, then you should contact your mental health professional for further advise.

I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
