Suggest Medicine For Anemia

I have abnormal test results. I am currently being treated for iron deficient anemia.: Ferritin is 34, Iron 48, IronSAT is 13. My CBC test revealed ESO# 0, Gran# 14156, LYMPH# 4026, MCH 26.1, RDW 16.6 and WBC 18.9. I am concerned about these lab results.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

You can take over the counter available iron supplements tablets or syrup. Include more iron rich foods to your diet like green leafy vegetables. A peripheral smear may be done to rule out other causes for anemia.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family physician
