As per your query your daughter have severe cough and cold it seems that she has an upper respiratory tract infection leading to cough and cold and as it is viral in nature you need not to give her antibiotics so giving antibiotics . You can give Levolin syrup and Nasoclear drops for relief. You should give her steam inhalations and also use a humidifier in her room. Make her sleep with head slightly raised and either in left or right lateral position as it will help in easing nasal drainage and ease breathing, also do warm compresses on her chest.
