Suggest Medications For Headache

I m having headaches that seem to be related to stress. The pain always seems to come from the temples on both sides of my head. I tried samples of maxalt thinking that they were migraines but the maxalt did not alleviate any of the symptoms. I Googled (I know, I know) the symptoms and they seem to fall in the category of tension headaches. Any recommendations?

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms. It is possible that you have tension headaches. In tension headaches, nausea or vomiting is not common and there is no increased sensitivity to sunlight or loud noise.

Since you have frequent episodes of headaches, you need to be on preventive medications, such as amitriptyline or dothiepin. These medications would reduce the frequency and severity of headaches.

For severe pain, you may take etoricoxib or naproxen tablets.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
