Suggest Medications For Difficulty In Swallowing

Hi, I woke up this morning and it hurt to swallow. I don't have any other symptoms. I do suffer from allergies, but take Allegra everyday. I am currently gargling with salt water, taking grapeseed extra, and cloraspetic to deal with the pain I experience when I swallow. Any suggestions?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The most common cause of acute sore throat is infection, normally viral infection.

You are currently using appropriate treatment-gargling, using chloroseptic.

If this is not effective, you may want to add an oral pain killer to your regimen.

Normally viral sore throats resolve within a few days.

If this does not occur then you should consult your doctor to determine if it is bacterial.

I hope this helps
