Suggest Medications For Constant Runny Nose In Infants

My 10 months old baby is suffering from cold, blocked nose and occassional fever since last 4 days. we had consulted a doctor here and he s prescribed Wikoryl syrup (dose of 5 ml - 3 times a day) and Clavam BID syrup ( 3.5 ml- 2 times a day). And also he adviced for nose drop otrivin. But now he has no fever but his nose is running continiously and also he is not taking proper feeding. I am very concerned. Should i wait for 1 more day or should i chamge the doctor? Megha

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello Ms Megha, Thank you for posting your query here. I understand your complaints. Runny nose (rhinitis) may be either due to allergy or viral infection. It is common in children. Please continue wikoryl syrup and otrivin-P nasal drops for 2 more days. Usual duration of runny nose is 5-7 days.
You can wait for a day or two. No point in changing doctor as that would not change the course of disease or type of medicine prescribed.

Wishing a good health
