Dear Friend. Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I have read your query in detail. I understand your concern.
If her BP is this much on Nicardia 10 mg twice a day. I would suggest modification of treatment.
Current BP guidelines suggest the use of Hydrochlorothiazide for BP control.
In such scenario i would advise the following baseline investigations : 1. Kidney function test 2. Urine for Microalbumin 3. ECG 4. Lipid profile 5. Thyroid profile
Review once you have the reports and also mention her resting pulse rate.
This is my best advise for you based on available details. If you have any further query please ask me. Stay Healthy. Dr Anshul Varshney, MD
