Hi there, for the past week, I ve had intense pain below my belly button when I apply pressure to it. I feel bloated/constipated. My bowel movements aren t the same as before. When I do have one, it s usually small bits with mucus sometimes. My lower abdomen looks bigger. What is going on?

Hello
Constipation and abdominal pain can have many different causes. Has your diet changed recently? Has your intake of water decreased?
Possible causes include diverticulitis, appendicitis, intestinal tumor, hemorrhoids (if you are female: ovarian cyst, ovarian tumor, uterine tumor) or an intestinal infection.
Do you have a rash or fever? They could indicate an infection.
You may try mild laxatives, but if symptoms persist you should be examined by a physician who will be able to guide the treatment.
I hope you feel better soon.
