General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM!

I understand your problem.
However, it is important for you to know that Gangrene is dead tissue and hence, cannot be healed. Only the infection of the surrounding tissue can be prevented from infection and healed, if infected.

It appears that you are having Burgers' disease, which is also called smokers' disease.

You'll have to completely quit smoking now and prevent further gangrene by undergoing surgery. Unfortunately, there is no other option other than surgery if your condition is not improving even after quitting smoking. Regular dressing will help in preventing infection.
Painkillers will help in bearing the pain.

Hope this information helps. Feel free to ask if you have any doubt.

Wishing you good health.
With regards,
Dr. Sridhar
