Suggest Medication To Get Rid Of Bad Underarm Odor

I have very bad underarm odor. I shower 2 times a day and wash my underarms thoroughly each time I shower. I have used Certin Dri that worked for a while then stopped working. I tried apple cider vinegar after showering and by the time I leave the house and get to work I smell my underarms. I feel so frustrated and embarrassed what can I do that will help permanently stop the odor or what changes can I make to my diet etc? I don t smoke, drink very rarely, I do take verapamil once a day.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The bad underarm odor can be related to many causes. I suggest first of all to use a healthy diet with fruits and vegetables. I recommend to drink liquids. Apply an antiperspirant at bedtime. Try a solution of hydrogen peroxide and water to fight body odor.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
