Suggest Medication To Cure Dizziness And Vertigo

Hi. I m 60 yrs old lady. Suffered from vertigo last yr. took vertigo 16 mg bd for 6 months. After that symptoms disappeared hence discontinued rx. But again now from last 4 months again experienced dizziness for which I was taking vertin 16mgs bd along with nexito (mood elevator). Now I m experiencing drowsiness and dropping of eyelids and off late feeling catchy sensation back of the head. Kindly advice Many thanks.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of dizziness and vertigo which can occur due to many reasons like middle ear infection, meniere's disease, side effect of certain medicine , migraine, low sugar and iron level in body.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist once and start with a proper course of antibiotics like gentamycin along with combination of steroids and labyrinthine sedatives for 4 to 6 weeks.

- Go for vestibular rehabilitation exercises. '

- Go for audiometry test and tuning fork test and treat it accordingly.

- Avoid bending forward and do exercises like meditation.
