Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I want to reduce my blood pressure w/o taking drugs. I am a 57 yr. old African American woman. I have a small frame and weight 147 pounds. I've lost 41 pounds since May 30, 2011. My BP is usually 134-140 range over 80-85. I work out for at least 2 hours a week. I take water aerobics classes on Tues. and Thurs. Please help....I don't want drugs. No other health problems. I just had a PE on 12/2/11
134-140 and 80-85 BP is not as high for taking medication. I would advise you to continoue healthy lifestyle, restrict sodium, exercise, try not to eat after 6 pm. Restrict carbohydrates, fat. It is helpful to chew very slowly while eating.
Hope I could help you Wish you good health
