Suggest Medication For Vertigo?

Hi, I have had cfs for 12 years after an acute illness with swollen tonsils, severe night sweats, fluey type thing. Lots of symptoms since, including digestive problems. It was gradually improving but immunity still weak, have two children now. However, last May 2013 I had a bad bout of vertigo that lasted in dizziness for many weeks. It eased, then got acute after pushing a buggy up a steep hill, then September I started fatigue, muscle weakness on the right side of my body, dizziness when I lay on right side, fullness in my head on the right side, it has progressed to shooting numbness up right of head, aching deeper pain, not sharp, in the neck, aching back, night sweats, a red rashly patch on back of neck and head on right side, and the continued weakness down the right side of body including the leg. I ve had nerve conduction test on right hand that s clear. Any ideas? Thanks

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
Neck pain and dizziness that you are having are suggestive of degenerative spondylottic changes of the cervical spine. Intermittent vertebral artery compression by cervical osteophytic spurs to be the cause of vertigo.
Do not lie flat on your back. Prop yourself up slightly to relieve the spinning sensation. If you have vertigo-
Move slowly to avoid the risk of falling. Take rest. Resting will help prevent attacks of lightheadedness. Do not drive a motor vehicle, operate equipment, or climb on a ladder while you are dizzy. Do not use substances that can affect your circulation, including caffeine, tobacco, alcohol, and illegal drugs.
Vestibular Sedatives like Cinnarzine will help. Start doing Vestibular exercise when the acute phase is over. Yoga therapy exercises also help, but under guidance of a trained teacher.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
