Suggest Medication For Severe Cough And Cold In An Infant

My daughter is 4.5 months old...from last 3 days suffering from severe cough and cold..we consulted the doctor and he had advised us following three medicines
Azithral Syrup-3.5 ml once in a day
Sinarest AF Syrup-1.5 ml thrice q day
Levolin Syrup-2ml thrice a day
Nasoclear drop -2 drops 4 times a day

Please recommend is it the correct line of treatment as currently I am not finding any recovery..thanks

Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that she has an upper respiratory tract infection leading to cough and cold and as it is viral in nature you need not to give her antibiotics so giving antibiotics like Azithral syrup is not needed..
You can give Levolin syrup and Nasoclear drops for relief..
You should give her steam inhalations and also use a humidifier in her room..
Make her sleep with head slightly raised and either in left or right lateral position as it will help in easing nasal drainage and ease breathing..
Do warm compresses on her chest..
Feed her with plenty of breast milk as it improves immunity and fight infection..
