Suggest Medication For Recurring Pus Filled Pimples On Cheek And Chin

hi sir im 28 yrs old i have tiny pimples on my cheek and chin some times even big filled with pus. im getting this since two months . im using clindamycin ointment but found no improvement. i have not taken any oral medicine for this. would you please suggest me any medicines to get rid of this pimples

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern.

As per your query you have symptoms recurring pus filled pimples on cheek and chin which is severest form of acne known as cystic acne. They occur when dead skin and bacteria get entrapped in clogged ducts of sebaceous gland . The bacteria cause infection in clogged pores .

Antibiotics like azithromycine or minocycline in proper dose may be taken. Isotretinoin in low dose 5 mg may improve the lesions.

Antiseptic facewash with benzoyl peroxide may be used to cleanse the face.

Apply cold compresses on face .

If condition doesn't improve in a week then consult dermatologist .
