hi my daughter is 2 yrs . since last 1 1/2 yrs every time when she has coughing problem ,doctor prescribe her 2 nebulize 3 times a day with asthalin 2.5 mg and budcort .5mg respules .
but this time we consulted another doc for coughing prob and he asked to nebulize by levolin .63mg 3-4times a day .
Asthalinis salbutamol and levolin is levosalbutamol. So levo isomer of salbutamol is levolin. Both the drugs are same. No difference in onset of action and duration. The only difference is site of action. Salbutamol affects all organs while levo isomer (levolin) affects mostly lung beta 2 receptor. So no cardiac side effects like palpitation and tachycardia. In my opinion you should consult good pediatrician and discuss this. At this moment I will suggest to take levolin 4 times a day and budecort twice daily.
