Suggest Medication For Recurring Cough And Cold In An Underweight Child
Hai sir,this is Satyam from india our son 7 year old he is weight in16kgs very low groth last 6years evry venter session Oct to feb is suffer for hevy cofgh and cold after fever is coming I am consulet doctor l5 days back is some antibiotic 100 mg and cofugh and cold syrp use one week zest 4days is normal and start again repeat same problem I am facing this type problem last 6 year use hevy medicine but no use pls tell me sir; send me your value bule advice and remydy

Understanding your concern. As per your query you son have recurring cough and cold and he is underweight which seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection known as common cold which is a viral infection. It is due to increased susceptibility of getting infected due to poor immunity of body. Need not to worry. Avoid intake of cold beverages along with hot, spicy and sharp food. I would suggest you to consult pediatrician for proper examination and diagnosis . Doctor may order certain test like blood test , viral culture test and throat swab test. Doctor may prescribe X-ray chest. Doctor may prescribe anti viral drug acyclovir, decongestant and anti inflammatory. You can continue with original medication as well. Do warm saline gargles daily.
