OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. The presence of the intrauterine device is not of significance in relation to your present symptoms. These symptoms suggest infection mostly in the urethra. You should see a specialist immediately, get properly examined, get urinalysis and if necessary urethroscopy done apart from a renal scan. Urine culture may also be needed. Appropriate management including an antibiotic, urinary alkaliniser, urinary antispasmodic, analgesic and plenty of liquid intake should help cure the condition. Please abstain until you are completely free of symptoms. Hope your query has been answered. Wish you good health.
