Suggest Medication For Pin Point Size Discoloration Of Skin On Face And Hands

Hello Dr. Myself Nisha, My Problem is that, I have some pin point size white patches, in my face, hands,and feets.Just two or three points.First time I have noticed it on 2006,But that time it was only on my face just one point, near my upper lips.But now its in my hands and feets alos.I have taken homopathy midicine just for 600 monts but its not working.so from feb2011 I was give up this medicine.Pls suggest me what its and how it ll be redused. Thanks Nisha

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Perhaps you have Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation. If I was the treating doctor I would suggest you to use Tacrolimus 0.1% ointment, twice daily for the white spots. Rub it in. Use it for at least 2-3 months. It is a prescription medication and i advice you to kindly talk to your local practitioner for a prescription of the same.
