Suggest Medication For Pain On Hip Other Than Aleve

Wondering what pain medication I should try when Aleve doesn t help much with pain in hip which I am told is probably caused by arthritis (after an x-ray). I also take medication for high blood pressure and Metformin for diabetes, which keeps both conditions under control. I am nearly 60 years old.

For pain in joints esp after 60yrs it is not good to go for oral nsaids as the kidneys will be at risk.anyhow aleve is not effective for you.so it is better for you to go for local application of some oils like oil of wintergreen or gaultheria oil that is very effective in alleviating joint and muscle pains.you can get it online through amazon like websites.but if the pain is severe paracetamol will help temporarily.along with this regular exercise under physiotherapist guidance and healthy balanced diet will help you.
