Suggest medication for migraine

I am needing help finding a list of medicines that would be safe for my 14 year old daughter to take to prevent her migraines and to help with the pain when she has them. I need to discuss these options with her neurologist when we see him soon, but I want to have some ideas because when we asked, he really did not help with that.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
To control migraine in 14 years old, give her combination of propranolol and flunarizine. This combination is best treatment for migraine prevention. Give this at night before.
Along with drugs, migraine needs following lifestyle modifications for better symptomatic control.
So tell your daughter to follow all these
1. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
2. Avoid excessive sun exposure.
3. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep your self.
4. Avoid oily and spicy food.
5. Take sound sleep of 6-8 hours.
6Don't worry, she will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
