Suggest Medication For Migraine Headache

Two or three times a year I get amigrain headache. Recently when the migrain begins and I see the tunnel vision, prior to any pain I lose my ability to acess some language. I can get the words out. This only last about 10 minutes. It only happens before a migraine. Should I be concerned?

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have migraine headache which could be due to sensory stimuli like light and loud sound, aged cheeses, salty foods and caffeinated product, food additives, stress and changes in wake-sleep pattern. Need not to worry. You should start with preventive measures first. If you didn't use preventive treatment for migraine headaches, three drug classes used for this purpose are with doctor's prescription are antidepressants, antiepileptics and calcium channel blockers. Severe migraine can also be treated by the use of ergot alkaloid drugs. These drugs need to be taken under the supervision of your doctor. Hence please do consult neurologist for prescription of drugs.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
