Suggest Medication For Infection On The Vagina

I have a dry, flaky, circular patch on the upper part of my vagina that has been here for a while now. When i first got it i scratched the skin off and it bled a little. It went away for a while but i could still see a dark circle where the patch was flaking. Another one appeared but i didn t bother it, its now gone. But the first one is still here and it is flaky again. Please tell me what this is

Hallow Dear,

The description of the lesion on your private parts suggests that you have got fungal infection of the skin of vulva - mostly Tinea cruris - known in lay language as ringworm infection.

1. Please clip (and not shave) the hair on the private parts flush to the skin.

2. Avoid scratching.

3. Clip the nails flush to the skin.

4. Avoid sexual contact till you are completely cured of the infection. Check whether your sexual partner also has similar lesion. If so both of you would need simultaneous treatment.

5. Avoid applying soap over the private parts.

6. Apply some anti-ringworm ointment like Whitfield ointment over the lesion and even the healthy skin around many times a day.

It is slow healing lesion. So have patience.

Report to your Gynaecologist or Dermatologist.
