General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Fever can be viral, bacterial, etc. If it is viral then only, antipyretics to be given, if there is a doubt of bacterial infection, antibiotics should be started.

I advise you to consult a pediatrician for diagnosis and treatment.

I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms cefixime, ibuprofen, paracetamol, and if there is cough a cough preparation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Veera Raghava Rao Buddha
