Suggest Medication For High Bilirubin Level And Abnormal Platelet Count

My brother has (42) has just gotten his blood panel back from the doctor-I don t have the exact numbers but my brother said his doctor says his bilirubin count is very high, platelets are abnormally low, white blood cells are normal. His doctor is doing nothing -- should he be referred to a Hemotologist?

yes, a hematologist consultation would be more helpful.Other liver function tests, urine analysis, stool examination for occult blood, prothrombin time,bleeding/clotting time may be done.If wbc normal it may be co-related with clinical signs and symptoms for low platelet, examination of liver, spleen, lymph nodes.finding causes would help deliver better treatment
