Suggest Medication For Grit On Ears
My 97 y/o father-in-law has grit in his ears on a daily basis. Has been going on for about 9 months. It started after he was put on iron for low hemoglobin, and his provider thought it might be his body's way of getting rid of excess iron. However, he's been off the iron now for about 4 months and still having grit in his ears. He says it varies in color, white and darker. Could this just be normal ear wax for him now or should he see an ENT doctor? Oh, yes, he says it's also in his navel.

Yup your thinking is right...first we have to thinking of wax...as wax production n keratinisation is contious process n each n every time small amount of wax is automatically removed from ear in which jaw movement help us to remove that...n may be elder age that removing process is slow down n wax get accumulation in ear canal...but you mantioned that colour veriety of colour but don't mention the colour you can thinking of some fungal infection also in which black coloured or white coloured wax type material we found in the canal...for that you have to consult orl (ent) doctors...also confirm about other complaints like itching hearing problem n diabetes etc...
