Suggest Medication For Fever And Throat Infection In Children

Hi. My daughter of 2 year.she has a fever n throat infection. She can not talk n can not breath properly in sleeping.very disturbing sound come when she breathes. Which medicine n how much should I use in nebuliser. At the moment I have normasaline . Thanks I m waiting for ur answer

Hello, Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concern for your daughter.
Sound while breathing is due to accumulation secretion and narrowing of air passages. Here, decongestants along with medicines that widen the air passage will be helpful.
You can use asthalin nebulization which contains salbutamol. Oral terbutalin containing syrup is also available. Give her decongestant with anti histamine syrup like combination of pseudoephedrine and cetrizine. You should also give paracetamol for fever.
Based on her condition, addition of antibiotic syrup like azithromicine is highly advisable.
