Suggest Medication For E Coli Infection On Mastectomy Site

I have a e coli infection in my mastectomy site, I was treated for it with IV antibodics but it did not get rid of it, the culture they took last week came back that it is still there, everything I read states it is from the gut, how would it get in my surgical site? and why is it so hard to cure?

I really appreciate your concern, it was not the proper antibiotic being given if you still have some symptoms, but it could be muscular pain or pain due to inflammation and not due to infection certain thing needs to be ruled out like sensitive antibiotic, proper analgesic no stress and hope this information helps.
