Hi! im female 53 years old diadetes and hpn ,taking amlodipine 5mgs od, asa 80mg od,metformin 500mgs od just have my resultbood sugar fasting was 6.44mmol/L hbA1c8,9 and my ecg result was non specific ST wave changes. and my metformin wasincreased to 500mgs bid thanks a lot...

Do a 7 point glucose monitoring (7 times glucose measurement per day) and see if post prandials are high or not and target your therapy accordingly and repeat Hba1c from another lab also
