Hello,

If you have a deep wound with light drainage then you can use Woun dres (hydrogel) and cover it up by Biatain (wound dressing). To treat pressure ulcers antibiotic creams or ointments are not recommended but you can use barrier creams eg. Zinc oxide barrier cream / Cavilon barrier cream to protect the skin that has been damaged. If there is bacterial infection, consider antimicrobial dressing. At each dressing change cleanse the peri-wound area and pressure ulcer.

However, you are suggested to get it clinically examined in the ER, in case you need oral or intravenous antibiotics for faster healing. Get it treated. In the meantime, stay well hydrated and take adequate protein and a healthy home made balanced diet for better and quicker wound healing. You can take vitamin supplements. To ease pain you can take Naproxen or Acetaminophen, one SOS for relief.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
