Suggest Medication For Cough

Hi, I'm Ratna from India. Im suffering from cough since 5 years. visited so many doctors, but no use at all. Finally i decided to find right doctor for a permanant solution. Can you please help me in identifying whether i should go for ENT specialist or chest specialist or lung specialist. I dont have much idea on this but looking for the right suggestion

I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, you should consult pulmonologist (lung specialist) for your chronic cough.
You are having cough since 5 years.
Possible causes for this are
1. Asthma.
2. Bronchitis
3. Chronic lung infection like tuberculosis or fungal infection.
4. Pulmonary fibrosis
5. Lung cancer etc.
To rule out these causes, you will need clinical examination of respiratory system, chest x ray, PFT (pulmonary function test) and CT thorax.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
Don't worry, with proper treatment, you will be alright.
