Suggest Medication For Cough & Excess Of Mucus In It
I have been coughing day and night for months now. I stopped smoking 5 years ago. I m a female, 60 years old. I had antibiotics, I continued coughing and producing huge amounts of mucus. I had my lungs scanned : nothing there. I had a bronchoscopy : every thing fine there. I m currently waiting (for the next year or so) for a gastoscopy because my doctor thinks I could have acid reflux even if I don t have any heartburn. In the meantime, I was diagnosticated with asthma and have to take Advair and Flovent right now. I also seem to have a low fonctionning tyroid gland for which I am prescribed Synthroid hormones. I feel I am getting worst every day now and more and more depressed (for which I was described Riva Venlafaxine) because the problem of coughing and mucus continues to spoil my life. Could you think of something that could explain this coughing and mucus production ? Thank you very much for your help.
