Suggest Medication For Bleeding In The Intestine
My hysband is a heavy drinker he suffers with anaemia and has had alot of tests for this. They have revealed slight bleeds in his intestines but cannot operate due to the difficulties within his intestines. He is prescribed ferrous sulphate 3 times daily and folic tablets. He also has a drink problem and has been told to stop. Not as easy task. When he gets stressed he drinks. This is the 4th occsion in 2 years that he has had blood in his vomit after drinking. He also suffers from prostate cancer for which he has no treatment but is monitored 3 monthly and is on very strong painkillers for a back problem also a problem for bleeds. HELP what can I do to support him I am at my wits end. He is 57 and smokes.

I would advise you to give your husband tranexamic acid tablets 500 mg thrice daily after food for 5 days to stop his bleeding.

As he is having bleeding i would advise him to take tranexamic acid 500 mg tablets twice daily for 3 days.
Also i would advise proton pump inhibitor group of drugs twice daily before food.
