Suggest Medication For Allergic Cough During Pregnancy

Hi, I am 13 weeks pregnent and have severe cough(allergic), one doc gave me foracort rotacap, as per FDA it is grade C category, another doc gave me derriphylline retard 150 and cetzine. Are all the 3 medicnes safe in 13 weeks. I would prefer to cough than living with a fear for 9 months. Please suggest.

hello mam .. i read your question .... almost all of the drugs comes under class c which doesn't me we should avoid them in pregnancy... it means upto now there are no trails showed to have risk in pregnancy... last one cetrizine is class b drug which is safer..
my sincere advice is you can use those drugs one more thing is if you have any previous drug allergy please mention to your doctor. if you keep on going with your cough which may be more problematic than the drugs prescribed to you.... so be cautious with symptoms like abdominal pain and spotting if you would like to leave your problem with out using drugs...
thankyou for asking in HCM... DR.TEJASWI
