General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Recurrent burning sensation in the throat, chest and upper abdomen is suggestive of Gastritis along with GERD that is gastroesophageal reflux disease.I would advise you the following since you have had Omez that is a PPI called Omeprazole for 20 days.
Upper GI Endoscopy to know the exact diagnosis of gastritis, esophagitis, reflux, lax lower esophageal sphincter and so on.
This will give a better and proper diagnosis hence allowing targeted therapy which may be in the form of the following:
Continue PPI like Omeprazole.
Antacid every three hours particularly when on empty stomach.
Domperidone or any other motility regulator.
Control of stress and anxiety.
No alcohol, tobacco in any form, oily and spicy foods.
Small frequent meals helps a lot; avoid late night dinner and have 8 hours of proper quiet sleep.
