Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I understand that you want a
medical abortion. However, it is not advisable to take medicines except under direct supervision of a doctor. The pills can be used till 9 weeks of
pregnancy and so accurate dating is important. Also, certain condition like ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy in tubes and not inside the
uterus) is a contraindication for the use of abortificient pills and if they are used in such cases they are harmful. Sometimes the procedure may be incomplete and in such cases a surgical evacuation may be needed.
The drugs are very safe if used properly and under the direct guidance of a doctor and do not affect future child bearing. So please see a gynecologist, get the pregnancy confirmed and localized to be inside the uterus and then use the drugs.
The drugs are mifepristone and
misoprostol to be used together. Misoprostol is used 48 hours after mifepristone. There are different regimens and they are best prescribed by your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Madhuri N Bagde
