Suggest Medication For Aborting The Pregnancy
hi dr am 19 yrs old i saw my period last frm 13/2/2011 to 16/2/2011 and i was expecting it 12/3/2011 but i didnt, after waiting for 5 more days i decided to take a home pregnancy test and it came back positive, i decided to use cytotec but i didnt bleed at all, i dont know what to do.

Understand your concern
Never use cytotec pill as self medication at home. Absence of bleeding after cytotec due to following reason: improper use and inadequate dose, ectopic pregnancy, some time it may be delayed up to 48-72 hour. so you can wait for bleeding.
Ideally 800 ug vaginally or orally maximum up to 3 dose at interval of 6-8 hour should be taken under observation of health care provider.
If you did not take extra dose, you can take more dose after consulting the gynecologist to induce abortion.
If after taking extra dose still abortion is not start, you can not continue the pregnancy as it cause fetal deformity.
It should be abort by surgical process if medicine fail to induce abortion.
Post abortion USG should be done for checking incomplete abortion for safe practice.
