Suggest Medication For A Food Allergy

my 10yr old daught has been having stomach propblems for the past 3week the dr thinks its acid reflux, I have also noticed she seems to be developing food allergies lately it seem vitamin c bothers her lips swelled up an itchy tongue, Last nite she has been complaining again about her stomach pain so I gave her malox this didn't help at all. she still had pain and said she feels like throwing up but can't. also the nite before she had chopmeat in a burritto that I thought was fine, when I made it, the meat was cooked on the 3rd day of opening package meat was brown the bloood had dried but I thought it was fine I tasted it after she ate one and said it tasted funny she thought it was because of her stuffy nose. when I tasted it I just tasted the dried blood flavor. so now I am thinking could it be food poisoning I had 2 bite and did not get sick. and the pain started over 24hrs after eating.

Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to food poisoning.

Some advice that I can give to you is:
-Avoid food for the first few hours as your stomach settles down.
-Drink water or an electrolyte solution, which will replace the minerals that you lose with vomiting and diarrhea.
-Eat when you feel ready, but start with small amounts of bland, non-fatty foods such as toast, rice, and crackers.
-Get plenty of rest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
