Suggest Medication For Chiari Malformation

My 8 yr old son has a Chiari Malformation 1.5. Had decompression surgery 2 years ago. Symptons returned. Now surgeon wants to put a stint in to hold area open for spinal fluid to flow. Area at base of brain almost completely blocked. Have you ever heard of doing this procedure?
