Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

I can understand your concern. You are a 22 years old and suffering from hyperthyroidism since last 5 years. Hyperthyroid state itself characterised by precipitation of anxiety attacks. Increased thyroid levels result in palpitations, sweating, tremors and increased risk of panic attacks. As per my opinion the hyperthyroid state has resulted in severe anxiety and depression in you. I would advise you to get your thyroid levels checked and if they come in abnormal range then consult a physician for proper management of hyperthyroidism. If anxiety and depression are persisting then consult a psychiatrist. Management of anxiety and depression will result in improvement of mood.

Thanks, hope this helps you.
