Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. Mental Retardation generally cannot be treated with the help of medicines. Mental retardation in moderate levels requires proper training and interaction with other normal children. In many researches, interaction with same aged normal children provide faster growth and development in an under developed and MR child. When the child is MR, it is natural that their IQ will be low and they will also show the symptoms of ADHD. That is part of MR. Proper training, behavior management, use of behavior techniques, medicines for anxiety and general ADHD etc are used for the treatment. Do not forget to let the child grow with normal children at his age. He will do better in couple of years.
