Suggest Ideal Treatment For Ear Infection During Pregnancy

Hello. I am around 6 weeks pregnant and have an inner and outer ear infection. I was prescribed 875 mg of amoxicillin to take twice a day and neomycin polymyxin hc ot 1% drops to take four times a day. I know that amoxicillin in a class B drug during pregnancy, but I read that the drops are class C and should not be taken unless the benefits outweigh the risks. I m uncomfortable taking class C medication. Is there something else I can try? Swim-Ear drops or I ve even read about a mix of vinegar and water? Any advice given is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
During first trimester of pregnancy any drug should be avoided.
But at the same time any infection in body should be avoided.
Instead of antibiotic with hydrocortizone ear drops put only Neomycin or Neosporin ear drops.
Steroids drops better to be avoided.
Ok and take care.
