Suggest Home Remedy For Burning Sensation In Vagina Post Intercourse

So I have recently been feeling a burning sensation in my vagina. About two weeks ago I had sex with my partner & the following morning I took a PlanB pill. This Tuesday I felt a burning sensation in my vagina when I wiped myself after I urinated. (It does not hurt when I urinate though) When I took a shower, my vagina felt like it was burning when i washed myself with soap. For the past few days I have been noticing a slightly itchy feeling, a swollen & red labia & clitoris, and I feel a little uncomfortable when I wipe myself clean after urinating. I just want to know if this is a yeast infection? Is there any home treatments I can do to stop it? How can I treat it?

Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

Vaginal burning sensations after a sexual intercourse could have many reason but it should be properly examined by the doctor to arrive at a certain conclution.

It could be due to dermatitis of vulva or vulvo-vaginitis or thrush or rarely vulvovaginal candidiasis which you are also suspecting.

You can go for clinical examination by dermatologist and swab tests for microscopic examination of the vaginal part.

Meanwhile, you may take below mentioned symptomatic treatment for temporary relief.

1) moisturizer creams or
2) lubricants KY gelly before sex,
3) use cool compression,
4) wash genital regularly using sorbolene cream instead of soap.
5) Avoid using talcum powder, irritant soaps, bath oils etc.
