Suggest Home Remedies For Bloating And Stomach Pain In Pregnancy

hello dr
I am 8 week pregnant and sometimes have pain in my stomach I am sure its gas or bloating ? Could you please recommend me some home remedies ? I am Indian by origin and prefer to take home remedies rather than medicines.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

The gas and abdominal bloating during pregnancy is due to a hormonal effect and usually is only completely relieved either as the pregnancy progresses or by the end of the pregnancy. But in the meantime, all you can do is drink plenty of fluids, avoid carbonated drinks, avoid food that can increase gas production like lentils, broccoli, radish, fruits like bananas, apricots, and so on. The only home remedies are dietary changes.
