Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have started spotting since two days but not proper bleeding yet. Today there is a little trace of bleeding. Can I take primolut n to postpone my periods? I am travelling tomorrow to visit temples for three days at a stretch and it s very important to not have periods during this time. Please help me with another tablet if m too late to start primolut n.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Primolut N contains noresthisterone hormone 5 mg , it can be used to delay periods by 3-7 days. For delaying your periods you should take primolut 5 mg thrice a day before starting your period . You should have start taking primolut before 3-4 days of your expected period. If your menestural bleeding has started, taking primolut now wouldnot be helpful. They should be started before menstrual bleeding to be effective.
However there is no other medicine to delay your period. You could delay your visit only.
Refer to a gynaecologist. Hope this information helps
