Suggest Dosage Of Nordette To Be Taken Post Unprotected Sex

Doc me and my husband have unprotected sex last night around 8:45pm and iam planning to buy nordette early in the morning today.how would i take the pill?as i read I have to take 4 pills with in 120hrs and 4 pills after the first dose.my question is doc after i followed this do i have to take a pills again?

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Nordette can be taken to prevent pregnancy as an emergency contraceptive.
You need to take 4 light-orange pills within 120 hours of unprotected intercourse and 4 more light-orange pills 12 hours later. You need not take any other dose but wait till you get withdrawal bleeding just like your periods within 3 weeks from the day of intake of first dose.
In case you do not get periods within 3 weeks, you need to seek medical attention immediately, as these pills are not as effective as regular oral contraceptives and has a failure rate of 10 to 15%.
